Premonition is the strong feeling that something is about to happen, usually something bad!

Has there ever been a time you felt that something bad was going to happen? Explain.
(example: maybe a fight with a friend, a big decision, did poorly on a test, parents get mad)

  1. Many times I felt like something bad was going to happen. One time, about 1 year ago, I had already done a math test, and I thought I would fail, because the day before I got it back, my teacher told our class that 12 people in the class failed. The next day, when I got my math test back, I got a 92%. I was so happy that what I thought didn't actually happen. I have had many other stories like this also, but this is the only one I can remember.

    1. I've been through the same thing! That moment of panic you get when the teacher says people fail and you hope it wasn't you. Great blog!

    2. It's great to see that you got a very good mark, instead of failing. Great job on your blog!

  2. I’ve felt like something bad will happen all the time, but there’s one that stood out. It was the first science test I had, in the beginning of high school. I think it was about unit of measurement, and I knew that I wasn’t going to do well because I had that feeling that I get all the time I feel like I’m going to fail a test. Around a few days later, he was giving the tests back and I got a 93%!

    1. Congratulations on your great mark!! I've had plenty of bad sensations about my test marks being bad and I'm happy your test turned out to be good:)

  3. Something bad always happens to me, almost daily. I don't have much of a temper so when I get mad I usually do something bad and get caught for it. Sometimes I'm home alone and when I hear a noise I get paranoid and think something bad is going to happen. When I'm racing for the puck I always think I'm going to slip and fall and hurt myself really badly. There's a lot go bad things that can happen to you, but also a lot of good. So you got to make the most of the good ones so you can forget the bad.

  4. I have gotten plenty of premonitions in my life, mostly bad ones. One that I will never forget is when my friend and I started a dog walking business. When we got our first dog to walk, I could just sense that something bad would happen. Maybe we would let go of the leash and the dog would run away, or maybe we will meet another dog that won’t get along with our dog. All these questions were running through my head that I didn’t realize that we were already half way through our walk. I was so protected, I would hold the leash really tight and would avoid other dogs. I was so relieved when we finally reached the owner’s house!

  5. I get really worried and nervous about a variety of things. I remember very clearly, when I was asked to babysit three children on my street, I had a very strange premonition. Seeing as they were all under the age of five, I was worried that something terrible would happen. Although I was scared, I needed to follow through with my plans and face whatever fears I had about the job. It turned out that I only had to babysit the youngest, who was two, but her alone was a challenge. Regardless of the fact that the task wasn't very easy, I was wrong to say that something bad was going to occur because it ended up being rather pleasant.

  6. It's no secret that I'm a slacker so when I do a test and then get a test back I always have a very, very, very bad premonition that my parents are gonna get mad and yell at me... a lot. At this point a negative premonition about my grades is instinctive because it’s rarely ever good. For example I got 59% on a test and I could already imagine what my parents were going to say to me about it but surprisingly they were really calm about it.

  7. There has been quite a lot of times where I thought something bad was about to happen. One time was when I was learning to ride my bike. I kept thinking that I was going to fall over! Even today I sometimes fear that I’m going to fall or if I pass by a dog and it’s going to start chasing me. I feel like I’m always thinking about the worst possible scenarios everyday, and I should stop!

  8. In my life there were many times I felt I had premonition. The time I felt that feeling the most was when I was little and learning to swim. I really enjoy swimming, but the down side to that is that I’m not very good. Many of my friends or maybe even all of them passed swimming lessons, they also either started lifeguard training of finished and passed gold. Though an embarrassing thing is I still haven’t passed! When I was little I would never pass levels. To do so you would have to put your head in the water or do the “star” position. I would always refuse to do both. I would get premonition that I would drown from sinking for doing the star position and also be terrified to put my head in the water. So of course I would never do both! Though finally after a few years I was brave enough and I had the courage. This is the reason why I’m so behind in swimming lessons!

  9. In my elementary school there was a semi-bully who was always mean to my friends and he but me also though he was our friend. One day everyone was fed up whit him so they decided to stop talking to him. I didn’t really do that because I kind of liked the guy. Anyway he got really mad and started crying. Since I was his best friend everyone told me to go. The problem got resolved and now the boy is one of my best friends. (He doesn’t go to St-Thomas)

  10. I thought something bad was going to happen when Mr.Katz took away my " A Midsummer Night's Dream" test. I was so scared I started to cry! I thought Mr.Katz was joking when he said that we would go home if we talked. Hence, I said,"Yaay!". That was it, I thought my life was over when he said, "Ok, give me your test and go". I nearly died! He did say that if I was crying he would give me back my test since he hated it when people cried, however I was too busy trying to suck back the tears, I did not respond. I went and packed my things when Madurra came along and I started crying to her too! I went to my mother and told her the situation. She told me to go back in and plead to Mr.Katz to let me finish my test. When I knocked on the door and asked if I could do my test, he said he will let me only because I was crying. I was so relieved! I sat back at my desk and started writing my test as fast as I could, and finally finished on time. I went back to my mother and Vanessa's mother was there looking for Vanessa. My mother and Vanessa's mother were talking about school. When we got into the car, my mother gave me a huge lecture on how I should not have said "Yaay" . I did not say anything because I knew I really did need a lecture at the time. Everything went back to normal the next day like nothing ever happened. However, even if everyone forgets, I will always remember those 30 minutes of my life and I will never forget them!

  11. There were times I thought I did fantastic on tests but also there were times I thought I failed some of the tests. The one that stood out to me was not too long ago. A while ago there was this test I had in French class. I felt the feeling in my stomach that I didn’t do the best after class. The feeling doesn’t happen a lot but when it does I get nervous to get some of the exams back. What helps me is counting all of the points on the test that I know are right and then go from there. At the end, when I received my mark I didn’t get an amazing mark but I was satisfied because the test was very difficult.

  12. I'm always pretty sure that i'm going to do well on a test but not for the math mid term exam. I thought that a 16 question math exam would be easy but I completely proved myself wrong. That was an extremely long and confusing exam that took me just an hour to complete. When I finished that exam, I had this horrible feeling that I was gonna fail. I thought that I had really rushed myself and didn't work my very best. I guess I was pretty wrong because I did pretty well on the test.

  13. Premonitions happen to me everyday! But the one thats left the biggest impact on me was my spanish test! After I did the test, I had a really bad feeling in my stomach telling me that I failed. At first, it was like nothing. However after I started to think back to all the things I wrote on the test, I got light headed and I guess, dizzy too. I started to panic and complain to my friends about how hard the test was. Of course, they said it was easy and I was overthinking it. The next time I went to spanish, our teacher had finished correcting the test and she said that a few people had failed. I immediately thought that it was me but she proved me wrong when she gave me back my test. I did exceptionally well and all my panic disappeared immediately! I couldn’t stop smiling afterwards!

  14. Iv'e had a bad feeling about a lot of things like a test. Once when I completely forgot about a history quiz on vocabulary. Luckily it was only second to last period so I had a little bit of time to study. It was a lot of words to remember so when I got to the test I was feeling a little nervous. When I finished my test I had a bad feeling that I wasn't going to do very well on the test. When I got my test back I got an 83% so I was satisfied. After, when I got home and told my parents what had happened. My dad was happy with the mark but not the effort.

  17. I always get bad feelings whenever I get a test back. Even if I studied and got a good mark I always think that I am going to do bad. I don't know why it just always happens. One time I didn't really study to much. When I got my test back I knew I was going to do really bad. In the end I didn't get a terrible mark but it wasn't amazing. I think it was in the seventies. Now I study for all my tests

  18. I have had a bad feeling about many things, mostly it is when I start something new. I think it was in gr.1, we use to have a spelling test every Friday and I use to always get 10/10 or 9/10. Know this is going to sound over dramatic but I got 6.5/10 and I flipped. I thought that was the end of the world , I thought I was the stupidest student . So instead of bringing it home and getting it signed I kept at school and I told my teacher I forgot at home. Every time I went home I was so scared my teacher called my parents to tell them I did really bad. So I couldn't stand the pressure and told them . They started to laugh. Then they gave me lecture on how getting a bad mark is not a big issue you can always fix that but having good habits as if in not lying is an issue.

Sometimes I do get worried about things. One time was last year, when I played in a tournament (soccer) with my team. During a game in the tournament I tried to defend one of my teammates, but it didn't really work. I pushed the girl on the other team and then she pushed me down to the ground. AND while I was on the ground she fell right on top of my legs and it hurt so bad. I could get up it hurt too much, I didn't know if it was broken or not. I was so worried because I thought I was gonna be on crutches for the first time! I even started to cry. My coach and one of my teammates helped me to the bench and when the game was over I was able to walk I was a bit less worried, but I was still scared. It was all fine and I was good to play in the next game. I still haven't broken anything until today which is totally awesome!

  20. I have a bad feeling when I go to a place I don't really know. I get a strange feeling because I am not familiar with the place and don't know if its in a safe neighborhood. When I go inside a place I am not familiar with, I tend to be more aware of what and who's around me. I try to keep my phone in my hand or as close as possible in case of an emergency.

  21. Normally this happens to me every day. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I already know if something bad or good is going to happen and I know that there is nothing that will change my opinion, unless something bad does not happen that day. Usually when I don't study for a test, I end up feeling like I'll get a bad mark even if I did actually get a good mark. Normally, my parents don't really get mad at me, but one time they did and I knew that they would be really unhappy when I came home. I had peed in my friend's hat in preschool so then the teachers called my parents and told them what had happened. They weren't that mad (cause I was cute) but I don't think they were that happy either. Most of the time, I usually know when something bad is going to happen.

  22. I usually always get this feeling after I do a test, even if I studied hard and I knew that I was going to do good, there is always that feeling I get that I did poorly. So since I'm not very good at Math, I always get nervous every test, so once when I forgot to study for a math test, and it was first period so I had no time to study, I knew about half of the questions and guessed the rest, I was so stressed and nervous the rest of the day I was so scared. But then when I got it back, I got a 70%. I was satisfied but I knew I could've easily got in the 80%.

  23. Sometimes I get premonition when I'm playing hockey. I get it when there's a turnover or If I have the puck and I don't have much time or choice, I know something might go wrong. I also get premonition on test days sometimes. I usually worry I'm going to blank out in the middle of the test or something. In the end I don't usually, but it has happened.

  24. I get this feeling usually when I do something really bad that could get me into a lot of trouble and I could just sense that I will get in big trouble. When I am playing I am a forward so when I have a breakaway I am always so freaked out because I have a feeling that I am going to miss and that everyone will laugh at me. Also when i'm doing a test like in science I get that feeling were my whole class will get good but not me. When I get nervous at school I always lose concentration and then the mark doesn't turn out well , when I could easily get a better mark.

  25. Sometimes when I am walking home from the bus stop I can sense something is different. Not always in a bad way but stuff like my mom being out or my dog is at the vet. Sometimes I do feel like I am going to get in trouble from something that I did years ago. I usually get this feeling the night before when I am going to bed. Every night before I fall asleep I think about the next day. Sometimes I get a bad feeling that I am going to have a pop quiz or I am getting a mark back that I didnt do good on. I dont like this feeling at all but... Im usually wrong!

  26. I think every one gets premonitions but there so small that we put them down as worries. Like when you do something bad and you feel like someone now's or your parent is in a bad mood and you just know that it's because of you. But my parents have told me about some of their premonitions and some of them are kind of creepy. Like my aunts. When my aunt was looking for houses, one of the ones she went to gave her this weird feeling and it turned out that the person living there had a bunch of things for 'witch craft'. But personally I haven't really had any major premonitions.
