I thought the cakes were amazing and very creative, and really did show a lot of about them and their partner. The project was very different, for me it’s not a project I would usually get, but it was fun changing it up a bit. I learned a good amount about my partner, I never really knew that we had some stuff in common, just because we didn’t talk to each other but we had some very good things to relate to. I’ve learned that it was ok to work with a person you haven’t worked with much, in the end I was very happy with our results.
The cake project was unlike any other project I've done before. I thought it was a great idea and I think my cake turned out good. I thought everyone else did a great job with their cake and everyone had great ideas. Even though I didn't get to taste them all, they all looked delicious and I wished I would've tried more. My partner and I have never talked before the project so I learnt a lot about him. He is a middle child and he has two siblings of the same gender just like me. He also likes music, movies, colours, money and surprises. I'm very proud of our cake and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Everyone did a fantastic job with their cakes because they looked so delicious. I wish I could have tried everyone’s cake. I think the project was one of my favorite projects so far at St. Thomas. I think the project was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed themselves eating the cake. Between my partner and I, I think we learned many things about each other. I learned that his favorite color is blue, he has a sibling, he likes going to the beach etc. This project was enjoyable to do and I’m happy the cake turned out nice.

The cake project was definitely original! I really enjoyed making this cake with my partner and I found it was a great way to get to know her better! I'm really surprise of how much we had in common! We shared so many interest and hobby's! I'm super happy with the end result of our cake as well as everyone else's cakes! Overall, I really enjoyed this project!
I thought it was a super fun project to do. I was with someone that I had a lot of stuff in commom so the idea of the cake was pretty easy. Just decorating the cake was the tuffet challenge out of all. The one thing I didn't like about this project was that it was first period so we were still waking up so we didn't have that much of an appetite for cake.
The cake project made us reflect on ourselves. I realized that we had more in common than we expected. We had a lot of planning to do and there was a lot of creativity involved. We were so scared that we could not do the project together on time because we did barely any planning. I simply showed up at her house one day and we finished the project together. It was so rushed. We worked hard on that project. It took us about two and a half hours to make that cake. There was a lot of artistic skills and calculation needed. In the end we did finish on time and everything worked out perfectly.
At school we usually get the same boring projects, but this was definitely out of my comfort zone! It was very interesting that we had to work with partner we don’t usually talk to. At first, I thought all the cakes would turn out a mess! Surprisingly they were all so unique and amazing. I thought it would be really awkward working with my partner, since I had never talked to her before this project. Instead our cake turned out very well and I’m glad that I got Sienna as my partner! I think we did a really good job on our cake and I was very proud of it. Doing a cake with someone you barely ever talked to, had actually turned out into a very fun activity!

It isn’t a common project that you’d get in English class, so it’s fun to switch things up sometimes! My cake was designed in a donut shape representing that my partner and I both like donuts! Each and every cake was unique according to them and their partners. I personally thought that this was the best project I have ever gotten! The day that we ate the cakes, in the morning everyone you know would ask you what you were doing with a cake in your hands. Once you would explain, they would all say "I wish I had Mr. Katz!". I loved this project so much and I think everyone else in the class did too. I wasn't only the eating part that was awesome but also just making it was! I found it was so much fun to see that my partner (Tisha) and I had some awesome things in common.
I really enjoyed the cake project! I have to admit, it was cool to get to know other people. Trevor and I found some things in common! I really liked eating all of the cakes because, let's face it, that was everyone's favorite part! Seeing all of those cakes and seeing what those partners had in common made me realize that I also have a lot in common with other people besides some of my good friends! I also told my friend who has English at the same time as us and she said she really wanted to ask her teacher if her class could come for some cake!! It would have been awesome if their class came!

It was an amazing experience to get to now more about my partner. I wouldn't mind doing it again but maybe not with cake next time. Maybe food from our cultural back-rounds? That actually sounds like a good idea. Can we do a project were we have to try and mix cultural back-rounds and bring in the food? I think we could have that on a day when we have English first since it'd be just food not anything overly sweet. That would be so cool! Just don't be mad at me(for those who don't like my new project idea), I'm just thinking of food ok, I haven't had anything to eat since lunch. And it'd be cool to see what we came up with. Lara
I liked the cake project a lot. My partner was Vanessa. Vanessa was already my friend and I knew some things about her before this project, but after the project, I knew so much more about her. I Would have never imagined how many similarities we have. Our cake was loaded with decorations and it was delicious also. I think this project was fun. We had a couple laughs while decorating it as well.

I think that the cake project was awesome! Even though someones cake made me feel a little sick (you know who you are) I found it is a great idea. I learnt a lot about Katrina and how she loves summer and loves to travel and take pictures. At first I was a little unsure about how we were going to do the cake but it was actually quite simple. It took about an hour and a forty-five minutes to finish completely and I think our cake turned out awesome! Trevor Lafave
I really liked the cake project. It helped me in many ways. Like how to make a cake, where to but fondant, how to ice a cake and how to model fondant and use a knife. I though that my partner Christina and I had a lot more in common than I thought we would. We really got along well and well together. I liked that we actually got to eat our projects. I only had three pieces but they were all great. Although, I thought that Mr. Katz was going to eat a piece of cake. In the end I really liked this project and I wish every project was like this one because then I would be able to look forward to every project

The project was so fun to do! Shopping together, baking together, decorating together, I feel like I know my partner so well now, however the only unpleasant things about the project was the taking pictures part. I didn't exactly enjoy that, yet the whole idea of the cake project was extremely fun and awesome! I’ve learnt that Lara and I share a lot of common interest. This project was so different. Stepping into high school I never thought I will do anything this fun. This was an amazing project. I learned so much more similarities between me and my partner (Jacob). I never knew that Jacob wants to become a pilot. I also had a great time decorating our cake. Mostly because have of those candy went in my mouth. I loved all the cakes I tried. I really wanted to eat all of them but I would have explode or have some major cavity issue the next day. I really liked the project it was fun and original. This is the first time that I ever heard a school project concerning cake. The cakes there were really creative and all different types of cakes like chocolate, ice cream and vanilla. I didn't really learn anything about my partner because I don't have one I did the cake by myself. The project was very interesting and fun it wasn't very hard if you don't leave it for the last minute for example you need to bake a cake in a day with no plan of what it is going to look like. The cake project was really fun to do. I already knew my partner before we were paired up for this cake project. We had quite a few things in common. We both love sports, we like the colour blue, we both really like gummy bears and many other things. I like almost everything about the project, but the one thing I didn't like was that it was just a little bit expensive. I really liked this project, and working with my partner was fun.
