Blog 47 - Wednesday, April 15, 2015

The BLOG topic this week is FREE CHOICE!  You could blog about whatever it is you want, except what you've already blogged about!  You could go on a rant or you could simply blog about something important to you. Please do not blog about blogs!

I highly recommend that you go OUTSIDE the BOX! Be creative and write about something you feel important or something you would like to tell your audience.

You must remember your audience.  It is not simply me (Mr. Katz) reading this blog!
If you will be ranting about a certain individual, you need to leave their name out of this.  You could give them a pseudonym or simply leave their name as anonymous.
Make sure your language is appropriate.  Do not go on swearing tangents.

  4. Recently I went to the movies with my friend, and we had a difficult time picking a movie. Finally we agreed on watching the movie Home. At first we thought it was more of a kid movie, but I was really happy that we picked to watch that movie. It was so adorable and had a great meaning to it. There was also a lot funny parts but also sad parts. When I walked out of the movie theater I felt like a changed person, it's a type of movie that has a big impact on you. It was overall a great experience.

  5. For this free blog I'm going to talk about my crazy schedule this week. This past Wednesday and this Wednesday I have two activities. First I have an hour and a half rugby practice for the school team and then I have an hour hockey practice with my AAA program. Then this Friday and the Friday that just past I've had a crazy Friday. I had and am having three activities on Friday. First I have an hour and a half rugby practice for the school team. Then I have hour long hockey practice with my AAA program and last but not least I have an hour and a half of soccer with my intercity soccer team. The worst part is, I have no sports on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I did it last Friday and I was so exhausted that I almost fell asleep when I was eating my dinner at almost ten o'clock. I like all the sports and all but I just wish that I could have more even schedule.

  6. So I decided I’d do a tag like Katrina because I have nothing else to write about and tags are fun!! I will be doing a random equestrian tag I found.
    1. Q. What discipline do you ride in right now?
    A. At the moment I do hunter/jumpers but I show in hunters.
    2. Q. if you had to switch disciplines, which would you choose?
    A. I would choose eventing but more specifically cross country!!
    3. Q. Who is your equestrian idol?
    A. My equestrian idol is probably either Ian Millar or Gia Rinaldi.
    4. Q. Who is your least favourite equestrian?
    A. Well first off this question is pretty rude so I’m not going to answer it but it would be someone from my old barn.
    5. Q. Describe your dream horse……..
    A. Well it would be offensive to my boy to say anyone else was my dream horse but I just wished he was a jumper because that is what I want to do but I love hunters as well!
    6. Q. Explain the horse you ride..
    A. well my horses name is Romeo, he is a 16.1hh, bay, thoroughbred, gelding. He is 18 years old but acts like a 10 year old!! He has a star on his for head and 4 white socks on his legs. So far the highest we have jumped is 2 feet 9 inches. He is a hunter and has qualified for the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto which (is really big show!!) he has also gone to the JEQ (jeux equestre du Quebec) 4 times!
    7. Q. What would you do if you were forced to stop riding?
    A. I have no clue!! I’ve never thought of it.
    8. Q. What was your best score at a show?
    A. I have no clue. First place?
    9. Q. who is your favourite horse blog?
    A. I have never read a horse blog.
    10. Q. group lesson or private?
    A. honestly it doesn’t matter because my coach caters to everyone’s needs all in just one lesson because the max in a lesson is 5 people unlike my old barn it was like 10!! At my old barn we barely got any attention and we never improved and at my new barn we all get equal attention.
    11. Q. How high do you jump?
    A. since I have just changed barns and horses we jump around 2 feet 9 inches but normally 3 feet. At my old barn it would be no higher than 2’3 at the max.
    12. Q. what level dressage do you do?
    A. I did dressage for 45 minutes but it got too boring so I quite dressage.
    13. Q. what level eventing do you do?
    A. well I have done all 3 phases (cross country, dressage and show jumping) but I have never showed in it.
    14. Q. What are your cross country colours?
    A. well I don’t do cross country but I do have colours for Romeo and they’re mainly blue and green but I love all colours on him so pretty much every colour haha!
    15. Q. What colours look good on your horse?
    A. Romeo is a bay which is a brown body and black mane and tail so pretty much all colours look good on him except brown because it just gets lost in his coat.
    16. Q. your opinion on Rolkur?
    A. I don’t even want to talk about it, it makes me that mad. (DON’T SEARCH IT UP)
    17. Q. When was the last time you rode? Was it good?
    A. the last I rode was Tuesday and it was amazing! Romeo was being an amazing boy! 
    18. Q. if you could spend a day with any equestrian who would it be?
    A. it would be my best friend and we would lesson, go see her 3 year old horse, go tack shopping and go to tim hortons!
    19. Q. Helmet or no helmet?
    A. honestly if you don’t ride without a helmet you’re just plain dumb! Do you not realize how seriously injured you can get? You could die and you’re just raising the chances by 50%! I do not want to talk about this anymore.
    20. Q. Who is your first horse?
    A. my first horse is Romeo .

  7. I love pop music! Recently, I've been listening to music, much more often! I've found so many new songs that I love and I find that music can be calming and exciting at the same time! I love how the lyrics in songs can hold much more deeper meanings just like how books have many morals! I enjoy pop music a lot since, it's much more awesome, then something slow, like classic music! Although, classic music isn't half that bad, it's not my cup of tea. I also like instrumental music, which means songs that only contain instruments and no singing. One day, hopefully I could continue my piano and guitar lessons since when I was a kid, I use to play those instruments! Music is just really that amazing! It's absolutely whimsical and magical, and I love it!

  8. for the free blog i’m gonna talk about something that's bugged me for a while. Your told that plants are alive so while plants or trees grow what do they do other than grow. They just get planted than wait to grow. They grow, grow, grow and grow and then when they’re done growing they just stay there and do nothing until they die of natural causes or get chopped down. If I were a tree I would get really bored, really fast.

  9. Phobias are the fears of things. There are so many types of phobias there seems to be no end. Here is a few types of crazy phobias: Ablutophobia- Fear of washing or bathing,Ambulophobia- Fear of walking,Alektorophobia- Fear of chickens, Arithmophobia- Fear of numbers, Aulophobia- Fear of flutes, and many more. I started laughing as I was reading the types of phobias. There is a fear of writing too! The most ridicule phobias are: the phobias of everything, the fear of urinating, the fear of opening one's eye and much more crazy thing. There is a fear of long words and the name of the fear is Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. That was so hilarious! Phobias are severe things and can change a person's life. I wonder how these people will survive a normal day when they might have to write, they have to open their eyes, and eventually they will have to urinate. This all seems funny, however if you think about the people who go through these problems, your thoughts will be changed. This has an impact on us because we might develop one anytime. Even the simplest things will seem scary and majorly life threatening. I am scared of spiders, however, I would not say I have developed a phobia for it since, if I need to I will deal with a spider myself. Yes, I will be scared, and I will panic and worry, but compared to people who have actual fully developed phobias, my situation is nothing. I think when we laugh at certain things we should think twice about the problems those people face. We do noty know how their life is going. We do not know their stories. I believe, we have to accept people they way they are and try to brig out te good from them as much as possible. However, we should not judge people and talkbad about them. If we do meet soemone so rude, eveil and bad mannered we should just avide them as much as possible. These people are people with diseases, whcih make them frightened for no reason. These people and their diseases should nevere be judged!

  10. For my blog I will talk about movies in particular there hasn't been lots of continuations of movies like a series. So I picked certain movies that I think should get another movie. My first choice was guardians of the galaxy because it was really funny and had a great story some parts were sad and some parts were happy. My second choice was home because the movie was a great movie when I watched it was so original and funny that is deserves a second movie. My third choice was another Godzilla. I think this movie definitely deserves a second movie in the original Godzilla laid eggs and the movie stopped (old version). I think it would be cool to make another movie based on this classic monster. I think that there should be more explaining instead of mostly action. My fourth choice was another green lantern movie their hasn't been lots of green lantern movies I think they should make more to kind of expand green lantern for a comeback. The first one was the only green lantern movie I watched and it was okay but the costumes and editing were just amazing. my last but not least choice is another wolverine movie because currently marvel decided to end the wolverine story so I think it would be great to have one last wolverine movie because I was a big fan of wolverine and I am a little mad that there will be no more wolverine. so I think marvel should make one last wolverine movie for all those fans out there.

  11. For my free choice of a blog I shall talk about the Nhl playoffs . Every fan and player out there can't wait to watch the playoffs but this year is different. for some people and especially me. My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins and sadly they are playing the New York Rangers who won the presidents trophy which is the best team in the league. Because of injuries with our defenseman we can do anything with the puck and therefor we just keep on losing. The thing that the fans want back is Kris Letang who has a concussion right now from the hit by Shane Doan. Even though we lost yesterday in the opening game I will always support the penguins no matter what happens.

  12. My blog will kind of tie in with Rushimi's because I am also going to write about phobias. Phobias are basically the fear of things and I have many. I have pediophobia which is the fear of dolls. This probably came from watching too many horror movies. Another fear that I have is the fear of escalators because I hate that I actually have to think before my next step and I hate how the arch is at the end of one, like on really big escalators.

  13. Vanessa Gentile (sorry my internet wasn't working AGAIN, but my brother fixed it this morning)

My best friends Seema and Eesha are the best. I've known them both since grade 1. At the moment we all go to different schools, Eesha goes to Pierrefonds Comprehensive, and Seema goes to Lindsay Place. I miss them so much, but I still talk to them everyday and we do three way Oovoo calls. We all love sports, in elementary we would always play soccer together in gym class, it was a lot of fun. Seema and Easha don't play soccer on a team, but they play badminton. They are both really good at it and Seema is second in Quebec in her age group. I've played with her and she very hard to beat. Eesha is so much fun she is a bit shorter than me and she always asks me for piggy back rides, and she is just really funny. I just really miss them both.
