Since this blog will be free choice, I will be talking about my Easter break. My Easter break was very fun. On the day of Easter we visited both sides of my family, we first visited my dad’s side for lunch and we had such good food, then later on in the day we visited my mom’s side and we had good food as well. My dog came with us as well so he was very happy to see that he was being around all kinds of delicious food, all he did was beg but he didn’t get any.

DeleteEarlier today, I was scrolling through my mothers photo stream when I came to the realization that she has never taken a selfie. Considering the fact that she has had an Iphone for the past 5 years, this is very unusual. I decided to tease my mom about it because I found it very funny. To my surprise, when I came home from school today, she asked me to teach her how to take a selfie. After teaching her the perfect angle, she became pretty good at taking selfies. Even though most lessons are taught by parents, this time it was the other way around!

DeleteOn my Blog, I will talk about something that has been on my mind for quite a long time. If I was a super hero, what powers I would want to have. I know it's super unrealistic and may never happen in real life, but it's fun to think about. If I was able to choose my own super power, it would have to be flying. Humans can do so many incredible things, except fly on their own. Every time I see a bird fly, I wonder how it would feel like if I was in their shoes. I can just picture it, wind flying through my hair and being able to look down and see fantastic views. If I was able to fly, I can get to places faster, get away from danger and feel more free. What super power would you want?

Since we had a long weekend for Easter. I'm going to talk about what I did. So I left on Thursday night and headed for New Hampshire since there's no tax there. So we only go to the hotel at 12:30 and only got to sleep at 1:30 and that was just great because the entire day we were walking around shopping at outlets. At the end of the day my feet were killing me, but at least my family got some pretty good stuff. The second day was the day of the long drive back. Since there's not a lot of taco bells close to where I live , we had Taco Bell on the way back and it didn't stop there when i went to an insane birthday party. That was pretty much my Easter break.
ReplyDeleteA movie I am very interested to see is Pitch Perfect two. I am very excited to go and see this movie because I liked how they ended it in the first movie and I would like to see where they take it. I also think I am going to like the movie because the trailers are really good and funny. I think I am going to enjoy the movie because the story line seems interesting. Also they introduced some new characters into the movie so I think it could be different but entertaining. I am excited and cannot wait to go and see the movie in theaters.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would talk about what I was just doing a few seconds ago. I was attempting to find out how to put a CD into my computer but I figured out that you can't. There is a CD sized hatch thing on the side and I was trying to figure out how to open it! There was no button so I tried to pull it out but no success. So then I looked all over the settings and then I called my dad. He had no clue either so I said "TO THE DOWNSTAIRS COMPUTER WE GO!". The reason I wanted to use the laptop was so that I could copy some music from a CD (because I am too cheap to buy it) to my iPod. So I came downstairs and checked the blog site and well, here I am now...
ReplyDeleteRecently during my free time I've been really bored! I can't get into any good TV show or even find an interesting movie on Netflix. I had been obsessed with the show “Once Upon a Time”, but then I finished all the shows and sadly now I have nothing to watch! The other day I was reading a magazine. In the back, it says all the new events coming up and one of them was the about the new movie "Paper Towns". The description they gave about the movie seemed very interesting. It’s about a boy (Quentin) who loved his neighbour (Margo) from afar for as long as he could remember. One night she comes in by his window needing his help for revenge on her boyfriend. After that adventurous and crazy night, Margo mysteriously disappears. The next day at school, Quentin finds clues to finding Margo again. The story takes us on an adventure and goes through the path to finding Margo. It's originally a John Green book and they're turning it into a movie. It’s starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne (she’s one of my favorite celebrities) as the main characters. The movie adaptation of Paper Towns will be released July 24. Even though the date is quite far from now, I can’t wait because I’ll finally be able to enjoy a good movie.
ReplyDeleteFor this blog I will rite about quotes. There are many quotes out there. Almost every famous or important person has a good quote. Some are inspiring, some are fascinating and some are even funny. This is my favourite quote: “History is written by the victors” –Winston S. Churchill. I love this quote because it’s interesting and, if you think about it, actually make’s sense. The best quotes are the ones that make you think and that make you ask questions. If you look up almost any important person there will be a picture of them with one of there best quotes because their quotes define them. Quotes are the words people remember you by. I think that the most important quote that anyone will say is there last words. Last words are the words that sum up your whole life. It’s would be so hard to resume my whole life in one sentence. That’s why some people say different things or nothing at all. It’s fun to think about your last words because it’s very hard. I don’t have a quote or last words prepared but hopefully I’ll think of really good ones.

DeleteMy blog topic for this week is my dog. Her name is Barley. She is ten years old but that doesn't stop her from being fun and playful. She is beige. Right around her nose it is black and then it slowly starts to fade into the beige. Her ears are grey and they point downwards. She is the most amazing dog ever. She is not big, not small, but medium. She is a great dog.
ReplyDeleteSince this topic is free blog, I thought I'd write about something that I love and enjoy doing very much. That is... SYNCHRO!! I have been doing synchro for two years now and I really love it. I do it during the winter with one of my closest friends from school Katrina! I also do it with my sister and two of my other friends who I have known for super long. I love our routine and music, and all of the super cool moves we do. It is so much fun doing activities like these with your friends so having some of my closest ones with me is awesome.

DeleteA couple of weeks ago, I found myself in a deep conversation with my aunt…. About squirrels. I know, this might seem silly, but if you think about it logically, its quite interesting. Squirrels cross the street everyday, just like us humans. But unfortunately for them, they might not have the education to understand the dangers of crossing a street. We (humans) look left and right (or at least should) and then cross when we see no cars. Squirrels just scamper across slowly or fast, not even bothering to check whether there are cars, or not. Here are my questions for them. Do they get an education also? Like a ‘squirrel school’ or something like that? Do they not? I sometimes wonder whether they have their own actual ‘possibly human’ lives. I find this topic quite interesting though! Anyway, I think that if the ‘animal realm’ actually had a world similar to us humans, then our lives would be much more awesome if we soon discovered it! My idea is quite far fetched from the truth but I will continue believing that this will hopefully happen!

I just started watching the new daredevil show on netflix and the main character, Matthew Murdoch, has been blind since he was nine years old and this got me thinking of what it be like to be blind. It would be cool to have echolocation like him even if it is impossible, but never seeing the faces of my family and friends ever again isn’t something I look forward to. I’d much rather be born blind rather than becoming blind later on because it must be terrifying to never see anything ever again.

Since today is National sibling day I will talk to you about my sibling. Where do I start they are annoying, irritating, stubborn etc…(.) I think I already talked about my sister in a previous blog so I will talk more about my brother. First let’s clear some facts out my both siblings’ are older than me which does not automatically mean I am the baby or spoiled one in the family. My brother always finds away to get what he wants. Like I will be watching T.V and just to bug he tells off the T.V since he is studying, which is more important. If I start arguing with him he will never finish. There are days where I fought with him until my parents come to stop us (which is awhile because they just gave up on us to stop fighting). Yet there are some days where he is somewhat polite. We usually have a great time making jokes and laughing together. He is a very humorous person.

Since this is a free blog, I will be talking about nail art! This seems like a very girly topic however, if you think think about it, nail art is very simple. It is art on a smaller surface. However, the process of achieving success in this field is a little complicated. You have to be a professional at drawing abstract, and have to forget what restarting is. When you are a professional nail artist you can not restart! Once you mess up at the nail art part of the process and you are using nail polish or if you mess up while shaping the acrylic part of the nail, you are doomed. You either have to restart the whole design or the whole nail! That is why people use acrylic paint when doing professional nail art. There are many nail forms you can obtain and there are two methods to obtain them. You can have an oval nail, a square nail or stiletto. These are the basic forms. You can do this with fake nails and then file the fake nails into shape or use acrylic all the way. Acrylic is a powder which turns into a slime, when touched with a special liquid called the acrylic liquid. It then hardens into a solid. There are special machines called grit files for professional nail art. Grit files come in different forms and different textures. As in textures I mean that sometimes the file is super rough and sometimes super soft. It depends on what look you want to achieve. A grit file is a little circular metal piece that fits onto a machine like pen. When a button is pressed, the grit starts to spin very fast and when placed on a surface, will shave it off. There is also a UV lamp, which is a little box that has a strong light fixed inside. It dries the acrylic and allows it to become stable. It is however dangerous to skin. I am not a huge fan of professional nail art. However, I do enjoy doing my nails. I love making my nails look professional when I only used Uniprix products. My last design was: my nails divided into three and four with the colors pink, blue, gold, and turquoise. I achieved this by using nail art tape, a very fine tape used for nail art. I also added rhinestones to it. I try different design all the time and then end up failing. I hope I do better over the course of the years. I now feel super girly...

DeleteEven though Mr Katz told us to not talk about our easter weekend because that's all he's hearing, I'm going to talk about it :D. My easter weekend was quite relaxing. I ate a lot of chocolate and I was lazy all weekend and slept in and played street hockey and played video games. My weekend was just relaxing and sleeping. During the long weekend, I also went to see fast and furious seven, it was really good and cool but was also super unrealistic. I also did seven hours and forty five minutes of volunteer hours. So my Easter wasn't all just sleeping in and chocolate, I actually did something outside of the house and helped the community by raising money for cancer.

ReplyDeleteI love pasta. My family and I eat it very often. We have many different things with our pasta, we have it with tomato sauce, broccoli, lentils, zucchini and potatoes, ricotta, or just topped with olive oil. All these different varieties are delicious! Oh and another thing! Every year me and my family make our own tomato sauce, and it always turns out so great! I love it! Around once every two months my dad and I will make lasagna together, it's so much fun! But my grandma's lasagna is the best! She makes the sauce, the pasta and she'll make sausages as a side dish, they are so good! It's a lot of fun to make. Our family eats pasta around 3-4 times a week, but we usually change the toppings on it. Pasta is really good, but it's not the only thing I eat.
Since we had a long weekend I shall talk about it because it was very different.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was actually very boring because my brother was on the New York , Washington trip and usually I hang out with him. We are never separated usually but this time it felt very different . I stayed in the basement the whole time and played soccer because it reminded me of my brother. I never tell anyone because I don't like to open up but I actually missed him. Because it was so boring at my house , I actually got happier when school was going to get back on.

For my blog I will be talking about TV series. Now on Netflix I started to watch this show on Netflix and I am only on the second episode but My friend keeps spoiling it for me. It is really hard to watch a show with my friend not telling me spoilers. I hate when people tell me spoilers to a new movie or show. I just want to enjoy the movie. I think my friend is on season 2 or 3 wile I am just on the second episode of season I. Now I try to avoid spoilers whenever possible.
