  1. There are many positive things about this school year so far, I’ve made so many new friends who are so supportive and have helped me through a lot this school year. My hopes for the third term are that I don’t give up and still keep up, because usually for me when it comes to summer soon, my brain just gives up and forgets that I still have to do good in school, and that I have to do even better than term 1 and term 2.

  3. At the beginning of the year, I didn't know very many people. Now being at the end of term two, I realize how many great people I've met and how fortunate I am to have made so many great friends, that I know I can definitely rely on! I am thrilled with the progress I have made throughout term one and two and I hope to achieve even more academically in term three and experience all the great things I have still not discovered about St-Thomas!

  4. So far this school year has been going very well. Many positive things have happened in the school year. I have made so many new friends. they are all so nice to me and they are very supportive. My goal for term 3 is to continue doing well in all my classes. So far I think that term 2 has been going very well. I hope the same thing will happen for term 3.

  5. My school year has been incredible, and there are so many positive things that happened to me. Some of them are meeting new friends. I am so grateful for all the friends I've made, they mean so much to me and I don't know what I would do without them. High school also helped me develop better academic skills that has helped me complete assignments. My hopes for next term is to do well in my final exams and to try not to get over stressed with homework and studying.

  6. Well one things for sure. In the third term I'm definitely going to try and looking forward to higher grads. I now that sounds nerdy but I am my fathers daughter and he always tells me to try and get at least 10% better than the previous term. I'm also looking forward the new lessons and activities that are to come. Personally I'm looking forward to black history month. I hope we really discuss it and such. I wonder why it's celebrated through the shortest month of the year? But I really can't wait for third term. Last term until summer break too so let's have some fun.

  7. This school year has been a good one. It's my first year in high school as everyone knows that, I've met a lot of new people and I have made a lot of new friends so far. My marks have been good so far this year. So there has been a lot of positive stuff in the school year. Outside of school has also been good, I've had a great hockey season so far and I'm going to Plattsburg for my hockey tournament in 2 weeks. :D. It's been a good school year and I don't want that to stop.

  8. Term 3 is always the most stressful term of them all. You have double the homework, projects, tests and it counts for more than double of the mark. The positive thing about that is that I think I’m ready for it. I’m ahead of my work but I’m not exited for this term. I think that doing all my homework and projects is the most positive thing so far in my year. Hopefully there will be something more positive in term 3 so that doing homework is not the most important thing.

  9. So far high school has been great! I’ve met some amazing and funny people that I love hanging out with. I love my friends and I’m so glad that I’ve met every single one of them! High school helped me grow into a better person academically, mostly because the teachers are very helpful and help if you don’t understand something. I thought high school would be like the movies, horrible and everyone’s nightmare but instead it’s the complete opposite! For term three I just want to keep on doing what I’m doing and don’t give up. For some reason every term three, I tend to slack off because I think summer’s coming and I don’t need to work. Though actually I need to work the hardest because it’s worth the most! This term I want to work better than before and maybe even meet more people since I still don’t even know have of our grade!

    1. Same for me too! Usually during term 3, I always try my least best even though this term is the most important one! All of your points and reasons were great and they are definitely true too! Your blog was really good! Awesome blog!

  10. Up to now, high school has been an amazing experience! I hope for good grades to come in the future. I've met so many new people and I even met one of my best friends! There have been many positive things that have happened to me this term and I can't wait for the third term to start because it just means that were even close to SUMMER! I have to keep my grades high and hope for the best in term 3! I can't wait to complete another term and get just one step closer to some FREEDOM!

For me highschool has had it's ups and downs, but term three is always my favorite term. In term three I always look forward to one thing and one thing only, summer break. The final exams are gonna be a pain to do but once I get past those it's time for summer and I can finaly relax without the worry of what's due tomorrow. The things I don't like about term three is all the work. Twice the work and the third term counts more than the past two terms.

  12. In term one and term two, many positives things happened. From grades to sports it was a great start. Now that term two is ending, I can say I have met many new friends. I have met many new people just this year. In term three I am hoping it to be my best term. I want to get good grades and enjoy the rest of the year. I hope I will achieve higher than I did in term two. Although I want to get good grades I also want to have fun. I hope to end the year off having fun and succeeding to what I put my mind to. I am also excited for when I can wake up whenever I want to.

  13. So far high school has been the best experience school wise of my life. Everybody is in a way gelling together. I really found that I got lucky and got all the best teachers this year as well. What I really want to do is finish off the year strong with some great marks. Another thing I hope I get is organized because my locker is like a zoo! There are a lot of things that I want to happen this third term but the one that I want the most is to actually get the term and year over with. The last thing that I am looking forward to in term 3 is my birthday!!! From March it's only 2 and a half months away.

  14. High school has been a great adventure. Term one and term two have been so fun and exciting. I'm really happy that term three has finally come. Only a few more months until summer! The only things I don't like about term three is that probably get a lot more homework. This term is worth sixty percent of our final grade, so i am definetely going to have to work a lot harder. I also don't want to do the end of the year exams. There are like five that we have to do and I am sure that they will be really hard. But after that it will be summer! Overall I am pretty excited for term three.

  15. This year has been an amazing experience. It was my first year in high school! The past two terms have gone by so fast and I feel like term three will be the same. I really don’t want this year to end. It’s been incredible! I made some amazing new friends who are so close to me. Term one and two were great because I realized how many interesting activities there are at school. I’m really excited for term three grade wise, because my marks have been rising from what I know and I’m super proud of that. I hope term three goes just as well as I hope it too, and that I learn many more new things.

  16. Well, I think absolutely everything was positive! Meeting new people, learning new things, memories being made! I can’t exactly just choose one! I really think though, that academically, I’ve learnt so much new things about the world! I feel smarter, but I don’t even know if I’ve improved. I’m just really glad that I’ve learnt brand new stuff instead of learning about things I’ve already known! I’m not saying I didn’t know about everything we’ve learnt, but you get it. I really hope though, for term 3, that I improve more in the areas that I haven’t improved in from term 1 and 2. I really hope that I can get better at participation, french, english, math and all my subjects! My biggest expectations are that term 3 shall be my best term! Basically, I’m hoping for improvement in everything I do!

Term 1 has went by so fast and so has term 2! Actually, the whole year went by fast. When I fist came to St-Thomas I was pretty much just two guys from my old school and that that I knew. The only thing I was really nervous about was making new friends. I did end up doing that! I know so many people now I made new friends. Term 3 is the most important term, so I will try my best to study more. Hopefully, term 3 goes as planed!

  18. This term was just as good, or probably even a little bit better than my last term. When I first came to St.Thomas, it wasn't very hard to make friends because I already knew so many people who came here and they were super supportive during my first and second term. Academically, I think I've been doing really well, especially in math, and I enjoy all my classes. Term 2 has went by so fast that I think that when I think back to this year, I'll think of only positive things and very little negative things.

  19. A lot of positive things happened in the school year so far, and there are much more to come. I’m going to talk about one which happened in term 2, this event happened in math class. For about a month I had not been doing so well in math until one big test. One day we did a test on constructions and I had been studying a lot, I was ready. Once I finished I knew I was going to get a good mark, it was just clear to me in my head that I did good. When I got it back I found out that I got a 100%, I was so happy! When I told my mom she was extremely happy because she was worried to get the mark. Ever since then I have been doing well in math. In term three I’m looking forward to all the fun things we do in English and all my classes. One thing in specific that I’m looking forward to is March break; I will be going skiing at Mont-Tremblant. Last year when we went I had so much fun and I think I will again, I also can’t wait to see what crazy project Mr. Katz has planned for us this term.

  20. Many great things happened from beginning of term 1. I met a lot of new teachers and made a lot more friends. I felt really surprised when I saw my term 1 report card because I expected to do worse , since many people complain that high school is awful and hard.I felt term one went by quickly and was really smooth but term 2 was more hard(as if in I had more work) also went by extremely quick mostly because of the winter break. For term 3 I am super nervous because this term is worth 60% of your overall year average!! That is not fair ,I find. Also the final exams contain more than two subjects. Already in term 2 I had no time to study for science and math but now we have like more subjects . URGGGG!! I hope in term 3 that there are some sudden changes and there is a new rule to never have mid terms or final exams in a school year.

This term has been a wild one. I have had some ups and downs. The most scary part where my exams and trust me I can prove it by telling you that I studied about 30 hours in total. Math is a little more easy for me so I feel more comfortable. Over the past 3 weeks math has been boring because I learn things from grade 4 . This term I felt closer to myself because I haven't seen many friends over the past 2 months and I don't complain because I don't want to be with them and its fine. But instead of doing homework right away I would leave it to the last second and I would get so stressed. So my plan is to finish work on time so I don't have to wake up really early in the morning to do a sheet of homework. Apparently I have been a little grumpy and in my French class that is all they say and it annoys me. Over the last 2 weeks I have been really focused on football and now that the pats are in trouble it could get serious. So in term 3 it is worth 60 % of my whole mark so its the last stretch and I hope not to be a slow person.

  22. So far the school year has gone really well!! I have made so many new people and friends. I also joined the school hockey team. I made a lot of new friends on that team. Overall i have a lot of positives, almost no negatives.i hope it continues this way

  23. What I liked about term 2 was you know what the teacher is looking for in your presentations because you learned what they want you to improve on. I also liked term two because you know high school like where are all your classes. I was a little nervous of the mid terms exams. I improved a lot at my second term at St. Thomas now I am improving in science by a lot. For term 3 I am a little nervous because it counts for the most marks in the total average. For term 3 my only goal is to get in the honor roll because I was so close in term 1 but I didn't quite make it.

  24. Probably the best thing in school that has happened to me was meeting some of my new best friends such as Cassie, Kiera, Eliora, Elli and Halle. Halle actually went to my elementary school but we never really talked and we were never friends. Elli, Cassie, Kiera and Eliora I just met this year and they are all really funny and it is fun to sit with them at lunch and bug Cassie to death in class*happy devil face emoji*. The group of people that I sit with at lunch is probably the best thing about the school day because we just talk about the randomest stuff in the world. I’m really happy that I’ve made new friends this school year and in this year.
