My best holiday memory was when I woke up at like 5:00 AM with my sister, and I was around 6-7 years old and my sister was around like 10 or something. And so we went down stairs and we starting opening up only our presents and then around 8:00 AM my mom and dad came down and all they saw was the wrapping paper and the ribbon and stuff, and then they came in the living room and saw us playing with our toys….
By far my best holiday memory was when my friends and I went to visit the Cp rail holiday train. I really enjoyed visiting the train because it reminded me of my favourite movie "The Polar Express". To top it all off, when my friends and I returned home we were given warm hot chocolate and we all watched a movie! By far the best night ever!
I have so many great holiday memories! That's why it’s my favorite season of the entire year! Though I do have a favorite, it was one year when my cousins and my my family went up north. We spent christmas and a couple of days skiing. Christmas eve was especially my favorite! First of all the food was amazing! It was a buffet of things that my aunts and my mom made that tasted delicious! I actually wanted to go for seconds. Sadly I did and I barely had room for the best part...desserts! After that I got to stay up all night playing board games with my family and cousins. I really enjoy board games even though sometimes it actually makes me bored.I like having a fun time with my family. Later on we eventually had to go to bed, especially because I wanted to wake up early to see all the presents! In the morning my brother and I woke up extremely early! It was kind of funny because we were shaking and trying to find a hole in all the presents so we can guess what they were. Finally my parents woke up and the dreadful wait was over. We finally got to open and enjoy our presents! I can’t wait because this year I’m doing the same thing and I can’t wait to go skiing again!
I love Christmas and everything about it and to me every year is special, but my favourite holiday memory of all time is when I went to New Jersey to visit friends. One of my closest friends moved to New Jersey not to log ago, and last year my family and I went to go visit them for the holidays. It was a great experience and I loved her new house. We baked cookies and shared presents. She showed me around and we went shopping at the nearby mall and it was super fun. I was so happy to spend my Christmas with them because they are amazing people and I hope we get a chance to go this year.
My best holiday memory was when my family and I woke up in the morning and unwrapped all of our presents. When I was younger, I had so much energy and I would wake up super early just for Christmas day. We would go downstairs and start ripping into the presents. It was a blast and after we enjoyed playing with our new toys. I had so much fun and later we enjoyed going to our grandmother’s house to celebrate Christmas again. Every year we celebrate the holiday the same as we do every year.
My best holiday memory was when I was three years old. I went to bed and fell to sleep but in the middle of the night I woke up and went to the living room. Our previously undecorated Christmas tree was decorated in style. I was so excited that I went to go wake up my two year old sister (at the time) and practically dragged her to see the Christmas tree. I was so amazing and I was so happy. Or at least that's what my dad told me. Lara
My best Christmas memory was when I woke up my brother and we went to are presents but there was only one huge box and it said it was for the both of us. We opened it and there was only bubble wrap. We woke up are parents to tell them what we saw but all they said was then you'll just have to wait until next Christmas and me and my brother had a fit. Me and my brother were crying and yelling then my dad went down stairs and came up with a big bag full of presents. We tell the story every Christmas and still get a laugh about it. Cameron
The best holiday memory that I had took place just a few years ago. Just too let you guys know I love the winter more than summer, winter is a beautiful, white and exciting season for me. Anyways a few years ago on December 27th there was snow all the way till my hips. It snowed like crazy and it was a day before my birthday so it is like my early Birthday gift and it snowed until the next day. After my cousins who just seem to come for a “visit” then brought me to a restaurant and gave me a huge Ice Cream cake for my Birthday. I literally ate that whole cake all by myself. Hey it is one my two favourite things in the world Ice cream and snow. Together it was so good. After that I opened my gifts which were AMAZING!!! Then I came home and played in the snow with my cousins and we had like a snowball fight/ dodge ball came in the snow. Anyways overall it was great . -Madurra.S
My best holiday memory was last year in Cuba. Since Christmas is only two days before my birthday, my family usually like to go out around Christmastime to places outside of Canada. Last year, when we went to Cuba, I remember just landing and seeing the Caribbean Sea and how green it was. After that, we took a bus and drove all the way to our resort. The resort was really beautiful and it was really pretty especially since it was Christmas. Soon after, I visited my room and was just really surprised because it had the whole view of the sea and it was really pretty. I was also sharing my room with the coolest, most awesome person in the world, MY GRANDMA!!! In overall, I had a lot of fun in Cuba and I cannot wait to go again.
I love Christmas! however though I'm not a fan of winter. IT'S SO COLD!!! One of my best holiday memories was getting to spend time with my family and my hamsters! I love to see my family happy and I love to drive my friends crazy by telling them that I got them a present and then trying to figure out what it is! Spending time with my family is special and I love to have some fun. Spending time with my pets is also a great memory for me! I would always get them little Christmas gifts and have them try to open it but I always end up opening them! I guess this year i'll have to make it through Christmas without pets because my hamsters passed away... :(. (R.I.P Peaches and Pebbles) But I am thankful anyway for all the time that I had with them even though they left too early... Having an animal through the holidays is awesome because you get to spend more time with them!!!
My best Christmas memory was when I went to my grandma's house a few years ago. Every year my grandparents and my cousins and my family get together and have a big Christmas dinner. One time My family was at my grandparent's house with my two cousins. It was really fun. My brother, my cousins and I all got cameras for Christmas. We took so many pictures that night. It wasn't a super exciting time but it was still pretty fun. I love spending time with my cousins, they are almost like my sisters. We are really close. I can't wait to see what will happen this year! -Erin
My best christmas memory was last year on Christmas day. Surprisingly I didn't wake up at 5:00am that year, unlike that year I only woke up at 6:30. I was the first one up always trying to pull my sister and my parents out of bed. But then when they all do wake up, they're all taking their time and doing everything in slow motion. Seriously, my dad has to make his coffee, walk the dog, my mom just makes her tea which isn't honestly too bad, then my sister that always tells me to calm down and that makes me more excited. But when everyone does finish doing their business, the gifts feel so much more fun to open and exciting considering that you had to wait forever, anyway I got so much stuff I wanted and it was so fun, we always go to my grandmas farm down in Alexandria, Ontario where we all get to eat turkey and do a little secret santa thing (we only started that tradition last year and I got the most unlucky gift being 20$ and a can of coke. Justin Pugsley
Good blog. I also feel like my dad and mom go slow motion on Christmas when I just can not wait to open my presents keep up the good work. Daniel Carducci
My best memory from the holidays was last year. My dad was pretty sick at that time. His sickness fell right on Christmas morning. That special morning my dad felt extra sick and had to go to the hospital super early. I felt bad for the doctors because I not want to treat a sick guy on Christmas morning. Anyway my sibling and me, like every Christmas, raced to my parents room excited to wake them up. My dad was not there and we were sad. Someone had the idea to “Face Time” my dad from the hospital. So we did and that was one of my favourite Christmas memories.
That sounds like a sad and happy Christmas! It sucks that your dad was sick on Christmas though! I can relate too, last year I was sick with bronchitis for Christmas AND new years!!!! Your dad is also lucky to have been treated by doctors! My aunts brought me to a doctor yet I was the last one out since the doctor quoted, 'Your not one of my OFFICIAL patiences, so I can't treat you before my OFFICIAL ones'. We were there for FIVE hours. It was AWFUL and I can totally relate to how you were feeling. Your not alone. It's nice that you face timed your dad and still enjoyed your Christmas. I love your blog, I can connect to it so easily! Your blog = AMAZING.
Where do I begin. It was probably last year, when I got my new iPod. I first was hoping that I would get it on my first batch of presents at my house, but I didn't. So I was a bit sad when I didn't get it. So on the night of the 25th I always go over to my grand-parents house for a turkey dinner and they get my sister, my cousin and I more presents. After we opened those presents, I still didn't get my iPod that I wanted. All of a sudden I remembered that my grand-parents get us a little bag that has good stuff in it. It was at the bottom of the bag my new iPod. I was so happy I started to cry. That was my favourite Christmas memory of many.
My favorite Holiday Memory would have to be when one year, my cousins and I met up on Florida together. I go to Florida every year for Christmas, but my cousins only come join us once in a while. So that year was special. My parents and my aunt and uncle all went on a cruise together that year. It left just my two cousins, my sister and I with our grandparents who stay there for 4 months. (lucky them!!) It was awesome because when your grandparents are taking care of you, they have different rules than your parents do! Since we were in Florida, we went to the beach a lot. I don’t think of the Holidays with a beach picture in it, but that’s how I’ve spent my whole life! I’ve spent all my Christmas’ there except for one. (it was the year I was born! I didn’t even have a passport!) I love going to Florida and especially when it’s with the people I love. It was by far my favorite Holiday Memory. Julia Daniele
I can’t possibly think of ONE best holiday memory! There are too many I still love and treasure! I can obviously choose the worst holiday ever but not the best. I’ll sum them all up together then. The best memories I’ve ever had were when I was still a kid. I enjoyed each and every Christmas since each year we go back to Toronto to our grandmother’s house. My aunts, uncles, cousins come to her house and we celebrate with a whole lot of food! Joy and happiness is spread and it’s easy to figure out that that’s my favourite time of year! I especially love to see what I get when we open up the presents in Christmas eve! Now, before you tell me that it’s more traditional to open up the presents on Christmas morning, my other family members still have to go to their house! They don’t do sleepovers and that’s how we’ve been doing it for the past few years now but we always try to open them up on Christmas morning, though we just can’t!!!! The excitement and want for gifts is too much to handle! The only possible time we’ve ever opened up the gifts on Christmas morning would be when we were still toddlers! All I have to say is that it’s extremely hard to choose ONE best holiday memory when you love love love them all!
My best holiday memory would probably be when I got my iPod touch a few years ago. This is how it happened. Me and my brother emptied our stockings and had opened all of our presents. Or at least we thought we did, until my mom and dad pulled one last 2 presents out from under the tree for each of us. It was quite big. I started to open it, it was a Reebok shoe box. I was already happy and excited, until I opened it. Inside was another small box wrapped up. When I unwrapped it, it was my IPod touch, I was really happy.
I don't really have a BEST holiday memory, but I think every year is the best. Every year on Christmas eve we all go to my grandma's house to eat dinner (always the best food!) with my uncle, aunt, cousins, my brother's and my parents. Then after dinner, the adults talk about the "special things" happening. Usually my cousins, brother and I go downstairs and play with the WII and we have a lot of fun. At ten o'clock my aunt calls everyone to the living room and we start opening the gifts. My brother usually get toys and everyone else gets money, gift cards, clothes, shoes, etc. It always fun to see the look on everyone's face when they open the presents especially my brother, we all know what kids look like when they get what they want, right? I just love to see the whole family altogether!
I think probably my favorite Christmas memory was two years ago when we went to St. Lucia for Christmas. St. Lucia is an island in the Caribbean. My favorite memory in that vacation was when we went to the beach one day and for some reason the tide was very very high. They put out warning signs saying that they request that we don't go in the water, although you were still aloud to go in. So my dad decided to be a dare devil and go in. Then my grandpa went in. After my dad invited us in. My mom and grandma weren't so crazy on the idea, but we went in anyways. The waves were huge. They were at least twice as tall as me. we had so much fun, until my dad got heat stroke. So he went under an umbrella to keep the sun off of him because he also had a sun burn. After he decided to go to one of the bar things and bought himself a beer. I dont know if you know but its not good to drink alcohol when you have heat stroke. My dad wasn't drunk or anything but he was just really tired and acting kind of weird. -Sophie
My best holiday memory was when I was at my uncles house celebrating Christmas. We were just eating when it was time to unwrap the gifts. My brother and I are always excited to unwrap our gifts. When I unwrapped my gifts I got this helicopter with a built in camera. When we were finished unwrapping our gifts. I decided to test my camera. When I opened my gift I started to tape the whole Christmas on tape with the helicopter. After we started to play soccer outside in the snow and sliding down the hill that was not my best holiday memory but my best Christmas too. Daniel Carducci
My best Christmas memory would have to be the past couple of years whenever we opened our presents. Not because I want to play with my gift but because it's midnight. I'm older than all my cousins and second cousins and they are all really energetic. They have me constantly playing games with them. So after midnight their all tired and ready to lie down for a bit and I get to rest for a few more hours.
About two years ago, for Christmas my mother got me a statue and wrote something under it. That was an unforgettable memory. What she wrote was so touching, that I was crying of happiness for the next five minutes! I am generally emotional. When ever a talk about my family comes up, my eyes start to tear up. If it is something bad about them then I get frustrated and will probably cry of anger and sadness. If it is something good about them , then I will start to tear up because I am proud or really happy. Almost every birthday I stare at my birthday card and what my parents and brother write for me and then start to look up at the ceiling. Sounds weird, I am actually trying to suck in the tears that will become a stream of salty water in a few moments. That is what happens every week when I start to think too deeply about things. That Christmas eve, looking at the ceiling did not help and I burst in to tears half way through the message my mother wrote. Half the time I was crying my mother was lecturing me about the whole situation. In conclusion, that was a very teary Christmas eve.
Well my best holiday memory for Christmas was when I was in grade 5 and I didn't have anything fun so for Christmas I got an Ipad Mini and a ping pong and that is crazy because they both cost a lot so then I started to have fun and so now every time I go to my grandparents house I remember that special moment of when I finally got something really cool. So for the rest of the holiday I only played on my Ipad and it was the best feeling ever. Matt Colpron
Sofia Padula A few years ago me, my sister, my brother, my two cousins and my mom went to go ice skating around a week before Christmas. We skated on an outside rink for a really long time then switched to just playing in the snow. I remember how my bother, who is the oldest out of all of us, would make a giant pile of snow then throw us into it. After we finished skating we drank hot cocoa and went home. It was really fun. That has to be one of my best holiday memories.

After he decided to go to one of the bar things and bought himself a beer. I dont know if you know but its not good to drink alcohol when you have heat stroke. My dad wasn't drunk or anything but he was just really tired and acting kind of weird.

ReplyDeleteMy best Christmas memory would have to be the past couple of years whenever we opened our presents.
ReplyDeleteWait... now I 'm not sure if it was for my birthday or for christmas.....oopsy sorry!
DeleteWell my best holiday memory for Christmas was when I was in grade 5 and I didn't have anything fun so for Christmas I got an Ipad Mini and a ping pong and that is crazy because they both cost a lot so then I started to have fun and so now every time I go to my grandparents house I remember that special moment of when I finally got something really cool. So for the rest of the holiday I only played on my Ipad and it was the best feeling ever.

ReplyDeleteA few years ago me, my sister, my brother, my two cousins and my mom went to go ice skating around a week before Christmas.
