In my opinion, i don’t think I’ve ever been gloating about myself or anything with school personally, but I’ve had friends who have have gloated about EVERYTHING, and it was really annoying and i just sorta left her cause i was like i don’t want a friend like that, not to be mean or anything but i have certainly had some friends like that in the past and in the present
To be honest I don't think I have ever offended anyone. If I have ever done it to someone before I am sorry. I know for sure that it has happened to me before though. I remember this time as if it was yesterday. About 4 or 5 years ago I had a gymnastics competition, and it was the end of it, but I didn't do so well on that one, and my friend did amazing. She won 4 gold medals and 1 bronze. As for me I think I won about 1 bronze medal and a 7th place ribbon. The most amount that you can get is 5 medals or ribbons. After everything was over and done, my friend didn't mean to but she was showing off. I got so offended of this. After a while I realized that she didn't mean to do this. She was just very proud of herself. She is actually a very nice person, she can jut be a little bit of a show of sometimes. This is why I am very sorry to who ever I have offended in the past. I don't remember any times that i have offended someone, but i'm sure I have. When we offend someone we usually don't mean it, like my friend did. -Sophie
I remember once, me and my friend were singing our favourite song. Seeing as I never heard her sing before, her voice was new to me. At first, she let her voice go along with the music, but as she got more confident, she started singing louder. It was when she hit the highest note of the song that I bursted out into laughter. She was completely off! Because she was my best friend, I didn't thinks she would take it to heart, but it turned out that I really offended her. I felt really bad but after awhile, she forgave me. Now, we always make fun of each other without being too sensitive about it!
Oh! Well that is sad. I must have hurt for her. For you too, when you found out that you hurt your best friends feelings..... It is good that you guys are friends again!
I don't think that I have ever offended someone but I guess that I can be a little bit of a show-off sometimes. I really love to dance and in elementary, we had dance classes. I would always be in the front row and always volunteer to help teach other kids. I guess you would call me a teachers pet. I would really put my heart and soul into my dancing and many people would tell me that they hated that danced with so much "attitude". I would call it more passion. Every time in dance class, I would forget about the haters and just dance but I would still kind of show-off. Some people even hated me because they thought that I danced with so much attitude and that I was a really big show-off but I didn't believe a word that they said until our teacher showed us a video of us dancing and that's when I could tell that I was the only one that put effort and it looked really messed up.
I can’t remember showing off but I probably have done it before. It’s hard to know if you do it or not because sometimes you’re just very proud of yourself! Though I don’t like when people do it because personally I find it’s really annoying and makes me feel bad. So since I know how it feels I wouldn’t want to make other people feel like that. In elementary school I had a friend that showed off quite a bit. She was literally good at EVERYTHING!!! It was crazy, and it bothered me because she knew it too! I don’t really think I have a specialty in anything so if I do a good job in something I feel really good. So one day my friend and I were drawing a picture. I thought it looked pretty decent even my teacher commented nice things on it. Though my friend (I guess got jealous) was saying that it wasn’t pretty and hers was way better. Hers was better but I felt bad that she had to gloat and be mean on a time I felt proud of myself. Anyways so from that day on I never tried to show off or make people feel bad, because it’s a really awful feeling.
I know it could be really annoying when people do that. But sometimes I do it by accident I don't want the other person to feel bad but the words just come out of my mouth. And for these past months we have been friends, you never done that and I don't think you will do that. Anyway I liked your blog! Good Job!!:)<3
I've had plenty to brag about but my dad taught my to keep a leveled head about myself. But some times I slip I mean hey I'm only human. Once I said something that offended someone because I was boasting that I could do something and I knew they couldn't and they we're really upset with me. I realized what I did and apologized and made up for my slip up to the person. I probably do a bit of boasting every day but then again doesn't everyone? Like when you boast about a sport, family, gift, accomplishment, etc... So everyone boast a bit everyday and it can go unnoticed but if we are talking about noticed boasting, yeah I've done it, but I was always told when I was and made up for it in any way I could. Lara
Not everyone is good at everything and that's what makes the world interesting. People shouldn't show off about something they're better at to someone else, because that person might have a different strength or talent. I do have a story of when I accidentally offended somebody, but I really didn't mean to hurt them in any way. It happened around 7-8 years ago when i was 5 and I still remember it today. I was at my grandma's house for the weekend, and she prepared my dinner and put a lot of effort into it. She thought that I would love it, but I didn't like it that much. Being a picky child, the second the food touched my tongue I spat it out onto my plate. My grandmother didn't say anything, but I knew i hurt her feelings and offended her. To this day I still feel bad for my actions. Now that I'm older, I understand what it feels like to be offended. Hopefully it won't happen again
A few years ago I was with my dad and someone who worked for my dad from korea. We went out for lunch at a dim sum restaurant that I love. Right after he forgived me and said that I wouldn't know that anyway. But I still felt really bad for doing that! Trevor Lafave

You've went to a dim sum before? Aren't they the best? With the nice aroma floating around when you enter, you are really lucky! I can understand what you mean though, you really didn't know though! It's not your fault that you did that! Anyway, I can totally agree with you for the guilt you felt after. I've had a few experiences like that before, your not the only one! It's great to know that he forgave you, some people don't though. I can see that this memory is still very fond to you, I bet when you think about it, the guilt rushes back in. It happens to me to though, it's a good thing you feel like that though! It means that it actually meant something to you and you weren't saying sorry to be polite! You were saying sorry because you actually felt bad about it! Not because you wanted to make a good impression, because you felt like you owed it to him! Now, let's hope that he's having a good life right now! Great blog, it was really fun to read since I can connect to it!
A couple of years ago, when I went to Disney Land Florida, my dad, my brother and I went to this fancy new golf course to play golf. We get to the first tee and I went first. I took my shot, turn around and everyone was staring at me strangely. Then my dad came up to me and told me that at this golf course you always have to take of your hat before hitting the ball, it was like a tradition there. I let my dad and my brother hit and I say everyone around me look so offended for “disrespecting their tradition”. My family joked about for the rest of our vacation.
I don't really go overboard with an accomplishment. When I feel accomplished I feel proud inside but I stay calm. I don't really go overboard because I don't feel there is a need to go overboard. I never really go overboard but I know lots of people who do. I don't g overboard but my little brother geos crazy but he would never offend someone purposely. Once my dad and my mom went with me and my brother to a soccer tournament when I scored my goal me and my team went crazy celebrating and I think we kind of bragged a little. I think we kind of went overboard and made the other team feel bad. Daniel Carducci
I'm the same as you, I don't like going overboard when I have an accomplishment. I like to keep it to myself when I feel accomplished, there's no point of making somebody jealous or not special enough. Great blog!!
I'm pretty sure that, I do this everyday. I usually don't realize it but after, it makes a LOT more sense when I notice. Whenever I offend someone, it's always because I feel proud of myself. I gleam with happiness and I tell my friends however sometimes, I feel as if they get a bit offended and they drift away. Now, I don't do this on purpose so, don't get me wrong. It's just that, I like to tell my friends my results after a test or something like that. Also, since sometimes, they ask me. It's completely my fault though! I wish that I wasn't like this, however I was born with so MANY faults, I don't even remember them all! I'm ready to tell my story now. There was this one time in elementary school when everyone was outside for recess. My best friend and I wanted to go play over on the other side but we weren't allowed since we were 'big kids'. Basically, to make this easier to understand, there happens to be a line separating the older kids and younger kids. The younger kid side was for kindergarteners and up to grade 2 while older kids were on the side for grade 3's up to six. We wanted to mess around on the other side (the little kid side) but when we went to ask the teacher, I forgot her last name since we called them either mrs or madam with their surname. I called her by her first name and she hasn't been nice towards me since. It seems like she's holding this grudge against me and she seemed awfully offended when I called her by her first name. I felted like I messed up so badly and I couldn't look at her for weeks! Until the time I went to confront her she was still mad. As you can see I am a master offender. Adding along though, I really don't do this on purpose!
I try not to be a show off or offend people, but sometimes I still do without realizing but I do afterwards. I try not to make people fell bad by offending them because I know how it feels. Whenever I get a good mark from a test I an so happy I want to tell all my friends. I don't want it to sound like I'm bragging when I do this but I'm just so proud of myself. People often do this to me. I don't usually get too offended but sometimes they go overboard, but I understand they are just happy. -Erin
That's Amazing!!! Everybody gets some good marks on their tests, we just have to remember not to go overboard. It's great you don't offend anyone. Great Blog Erin!!!!
I don't think I offend people a lot,but sometimes I do it without noticing. I usually offend my friends, but since their my friends, I don't think they would take it as hard as someone else would. It's mostly when I'm playing a game or something and would say "you suck" or I would say an insult to them. They usually take it as a joke and not think that I'm trying to hurt their feelings or anything. Sometimes we say things that we don't mean to hurt others.
I don't really go overboard and offend people. Most of the time I just ask the people around me and try to stay positive with them even if got something better than them. Although I like joking around with my friends and sometimes we do offend each other but they don't take it seriously. Especially when I don't no people like my 3rd cousins. Cameron Hubscher
I don’t think I have ever offended or insulted anyone. Everybody has something to brag about, but I don’t consider myself as someone who brags about my life. I don’t think I have offended anyone but sometimes when you have good accomplishments people tend to brag. If I have ever offended anyone I am sorry. I try to be cautious about what I say to people because I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Everybody deserves to have their feelings respected. I don’t think highly of myself but everybody likes when they get good grades.
I'm pretty sure I could offend people daily, if I knew who I offended I would totally apologize. I've definitely have had a couple of scenarios where I've been offended. Someone could be jealous/sad about what something someone said, for example, if someone were to brag about something they received a person can be offended. Another way a person can be easily offended is by something they watched, a movie, a TV show or simply a YouTube video. If I have ever offended you, I'm sorry.
I don't really offend people often, but then again I wouldn't know because some people are easier to offend than others. As a person. I'm not really known for being really sensitive, so I tend to hurt peoples's feelings but not realize it till I actually have a talk with them. These days I don't offend anyone because now, I think before I speak and it's because I started to care more about people and their feelings. I used to be a huge people's person, now I just don't talk to anyone that I don't know, so even talking to someone is something huge for me. If I had one more chance to go back to the people I have offended, I would totally apologize because at that point I was probably thinking more about myself than any other person.
I have offended one of my friends and I am refusing to talk more about it on this blog (even though I know she can’t read it) because it is extremely personal and I do not want to offend her more or get her embarrassed. I did not think she was going to get offended because I joke around with everyone (especially her) and when she did get offended I apologized right away because she is one of my closest friends and I can’t live without her! I never meant to offend her in any way, shape or form. I never want to offend her again and I hope we’ll be friends forever! Abby
I have bragged a lot of times, I feel. Most of the time, I don't want to show off I am usually so excited and proud of my achievement I did, that I want to tell everyone. Once for an exam that I studied really hard for I got 100% so I went and told my friend not recognizing that she failed it. Then I felt like I made the situation even worse. There is a time where I bragged on purpose. My cousin and I were at Toronto for my other cousins wedding. I was new and I knew no one so my cousin introduced me to all her friends. Later this girl comes (who my cousin hates) she starts talking to me and my cousin about how she got A+ on her report card. Also how she has an Ipod (at that age I had nothing not even an Ipod) and just kept on going. Then since I was from Montreal and I will only see her probably once in my life me and my cousins started saying lies about me to make her jealous and we were bragging about me. How I had a phone which the battery died before I came to the party and how I have my own Facebook account (this was long time ago when facebook was a big thing) with like 1000 friends. It was just because it really annoyed us how she was lying and bragging on purpose so we wanted to make her feel, how it felt for us. Then I think she understood. At least I hope she did. That is how we offended her we did not want to make her feel bad or something it just was so annoying and we all know what she said was a lie. -Madurra.s
Well, did you not say those lies to make her feel how you felt, bad?!?!?!??!?!? If not then I'm confused. You never told me about this !!!!!! When did it happen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????
I have offended lots of people. However, they were by mistakes when I was not aware what I said. Then I felt really guilty and I hate so much the feeling of guilt so I ask them so many times what happened and if I said something wrong. However, they do not say yes and it annoys me so much, I end up screaming and maybe even crying! Then they say that I offended them and I get even more mad. I then apologize so many times and it takes forever for them to smile and be happy around me . In the end we become friends. Thus, the process of fixing a mistake is really tough. Also I hate people who brag. If you want to brag, go and brag to someone who will not get hurt(you got the best in class, go brag to the one who usually gets best). I try to brag sometimes, and nobody cares and I am not a good bragger. I,so called, brag and then I make the person feel better. The whole point of bragging is to hurt someone's feelings in my opinion. The whole bragging and offending, does not go well with me and I try not to do it. In conclusion, I am not much of a person who hurts people's feelings intentionally.
My friends and I always offend each other because its funny but we never want to make the person fell bad. If we were having fun making jokes I wouldn't start offending people because its wrong. But most of the time when I offend people it is only when they say something really so I cant just walk I need to talk back. So I have kind of offended many people in my time of life. Matt Colpron
I know I'm late for this blog but here is what I have to wrtie: Yes, I have offended a couple of people. I obviously wouldn't try too but sometimes it just so happens. My friends and I don't really offended each other on purpose, it's more of a friendly thing but even though, sometimes I do get offended.Sometimes I offended by what I’m saying and I don’t realise it. The person does look a little hurt but I always manage to clear things off and laugh about it later on. Julia Daniele
I'm sorry I'm doing my blog late. I don't Think I have offended someone on purpose, I may have if i was mad at my brother, but no one else. At some points I might have offend somebody by accident, but I never intend to offend somebody on purpose . There are different ways I could offend people. I sometimes joke around with my friends and say stuff as a joke but that's much different, they know I'm joking(I hope). So overall I don't think I'm mean or offend people on purpose.

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I could offend people daily, if I knew who I offended I would totally apologize.
Hmm........ True........ There are many chances a person can be offended by what they watch! Good observation!
DeleteI don't really offend people often, but then again I wouldn't know because some people are easier to offend than others.

I hope so too!!
DeleteI have bragged a lot of times, I feel.
ReplyDelete-Madurra.s
Well, did you not say those lies to make her feel how you felt, bad?!?!?!??!?!? If not then I'm confused. You never told me about this !!!!!! When did it happen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????
DeleteI have offended lots of people.
ReplyDeleteMy friends and I always offend each other because its funny but we never want to make the person fell bad. If we were having fun making jokes I wouldn't start offending people because its wrong. But most of the time when I offend people it is only when they say something really so I cant just walk I need to talk back. So I have kind of offended many people in my time of life.

I know I'm late for this blog but here is what I have to wrtie:
ReplyDeleteYes, I have offended a couple of people.

I'm sorry I'm doing my blog late.
ReplyDeleteI don't Think I have offended someone on purpose, I may have if i was mad at my brother, but no one else.
